 Establishing
the keystone for governmental activities in Japan.
Representing Pennsylvania for nearly 10 years in the fields of trade, investment
and tourism, we regularly promoted ties between the state and Japan that were
beneficial to both sides, and the companies that did business in the two. To attract
new investment, we vigilantly searched for prospective investors, and Pennsylvania
exporters by conducting market research and finding reliable distributors and
partners and attending trade shows.
Additionally, we worked with the tourism industry to promote Pennsylvania and
its rich history as an attractive destination. We also arranged annual trade missions
to Japan by the governor or other top government official.
