Comité Interprofessionnel du Gruyère de Comté (CIGC)

Comté cheese is one of the most popular cheeses in France, hand-made by artisans in the mountain area of Franche-Comté region in Eastern France. Asahi Agency has been promoting this natural AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée — Protected Origin Nomenclature) cheese targeting trade and consumers since 2004.

We serve as the Japanese liaison office of CIGC, maintaining their Japanese website, and keeping close contact with related trade and media outlets. Promotional activities include press tours, recipe developments, tasting seminars targeting consumers and media, foodservice promotions and in-store promotions using original POS materials.

Result:

Awareness and sales of Comté cheese in Japan is steadily increasing thanks to these continuous promotional activities.
