Gemalto is an international digital security company providing software applications, secure personal devices such as smart cards and tokens, and managed services. It is the world’s largest manufacturer of SIM cards.
Gemalto didn’t conduct media relations at all before Asahi Agency started working with them in 2014. Since we can‘t use aggressively standard media hooks such as customer names, case studies and new products, we disseminate press releases regularly and arrange one-on-one interviews as well as contribute articles in order to appeal their technology advantage and their necessity.
From almost zero coverage, we obtained over one thousand times coverage for one year through aggressive media relations. Although target media is quite niche, awareness of the Gemalto brand has increased because requests of interviews and contributed articles from media and analysts have been increasing.
